Rank 1
SLT Fibre
SLT Fibre is a fixed broadband service commonly used by homes, offices, businesses and remote workers. It can provide fast and stable internet with strong download and upload performance when fibre coverage is available. However, installation depends on service availability in the user’s area, and package limits or additional data costs should be considered.

Rank 2
Dialog Home Broadband and Air Fibre
Dialog provides wireless home internet through services such as 4G Home Broadband and Air Fibre in supported locations. These services can be easier to install than a wired fibre connection and may offer good speeds where the Dialog signal is strong. Performance can vary depending on the location, indoor signal quality, network congestion and the technology available in the area.

Rank 3
Hutch
Hutch provides mobile internet packages for smartphones and compatible broadband devices. It is often considered by users looking for affordable data packages, longer-validity plans or a secondary mobile connection. Its value depends heavily on local 4G coverage, and users should check signal quality before choosing it as their primary internet connection.

Rank 4
Starlink
Starlink provides satellite internet and does not rely on nearby fibre lines or conventional mobile towers. It can be useful for rural properties, remote businesses and locations where traditional broadband services are unavailable or unreliable. Its main limitations are the cost of the equipment, the monthly subscription price and the need for a suitable installation location with a relatively clear view of the sky.

Dialog Mobile
Dialog Mobile provides mobile internet through smartphones, portable routers and other connected devices. It has broad coverage across Sri Lanka and offers a wide selection of data packages for general browsing, social media, entertainment and work. Connection quality and speed can still differ considerably between locations, particularly inside buildings or during busy periods.

Rank 6
SLT-Mobitel Mobile
SLT-Mobitel offers mobile internet services for smartphones, routers and other mobile devices. It can provide strong speeds and reliable performance in areas with good network coverage. Users should test the service at the locations where they expect to use it most, as its performance may be better than competing networks in some areas and weaker in others.
Dialog is just a brand name to me; worst service ever. I’d rather look at SLT Fibre for a more practical connection.
The current order should give more weight to speed consistency, not just popularity. For that reason, SLT Fibre is the clear first choice.
Hutch deserves more love here, if the price works for your data needs, it can be the sensible pick. Not every connection needs a fibre-level budget, ne.
Hutch is clearly the better pick than Dialog here; Dialog feels overpriced for what it offers.
